The FRAUENSCHUH brand, founded in Kitzbühel in 1950, stands for timeless and luxurious men’s-
and women’s fashion. The foundation of the brand relies heavily upon traditional leather processing, especially that of tannery, to produce the finest leather & lambskin jackets.
Kaspar Frauenschuh, CEO and son of the founder, runs the family business together with sister, Theresia, from Kitzbühel, Austria where they were raised. Their international multi-brand stores incorporate a dynamic, and complementary array of well-known, and to-be-discovered brands ranging from Missoni to Suzusan.

Frauenschuh’s first collection was launched in 1995, and produced a fleece jacket, which remains an integral part of the collection to date. Over two years Kaspar crafted the fleece jacket as well as our essential ski pants. At Frauenschuh it’s understood that only when creatives are given the time and space to breathe can exceptional products that meet the highest standards of sustainability be conceived.
With that in mind, Frauenschuh leads a fair trade operation working only with small, family-run businesses, and manufacturers across Europe. We forbid the use of chemical agents during the process of production to ensure that our products are handled with care, ecological, durable, and of the highest quality.
Our specially developed, high-tech materials are combined with traditional fabrics like loden and wool to shape a uniquely FRAUENSCHUH silhouette recognizable the world round.
So, in keeping with our efforts to reduce waste, tackle fast-fashion, and respect the planet, as of 2020, we no longer subscribe to the seasonal collection model, and have moved instead to deliver products in drops.
With Love, Frauenschuh
